What to See

There are several magnificent churches in Dublin including St. Francis Xavier Church is one of the finest Jesuit churches of its kind. Construction was begun in 1829 and parts of the church are decorated with lapis lazuli stone from Italy.

The Custom House is a must see for lovers of Georgian style architecture.

Dublin visitors can also tour the Garden of Remembrance, the Gate Theater, the General Post Office and the Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery of Modern Art. Do not miss out on the James Joyce Center, Montjoy Square or O’Connell Street – the most famous street in Dublin.

The City’s Center

Trinity College is a famous Dublin landmark. The magnificent Old Library is a popular tourist spot. You can see the Bank of Ireland that was once the seat of Ireland’s Parliament. Dublin Tourism, the Dublin Civic Museum, and Victorian George’s Street Arcade are all located here in the center of town.

Museums abound in Dublin. Besides the ones already mentioned art lovers should make sure to stop into the Leinster House, the National Museum of Natural History, the National Library and the Heraldic Museum. And those will just get you started.
